is classed as an ultra-convenient university area that has some class. was trying so hard to become a little more like nearby Newtown, yet missed the mark slightly. Recent improvements to Point Road was still a worthwhile investment, judging by the demands from students and professionals wanting to move into the area. You can either walk or easily catch a bus into the city. Then again, is only a short 10-minute walk from Central Train Station.

What is known most for:

  • The abundance of natural and alternative therapies available from hypnotherapy, acupuncture and tarot card readings to name.

  • Bookstores heaven

  • The Valhalla Cinema

  • The abundance of simple, kid-friendly parks. Bicentennial Park is the most popular park, with views of the city skyline and the Anzac Bridge.

  • It's design and flea market at the public school every Saturday.
